序言／導讀

序言 邁入二十一世紀，以最先進的科技來保存人類生活歷程所遺留的足跡， 已經成為必然。 文化資産保存與數位科技整合的觀念，是國際間重要的趨勢，多部國際 憲章、公約皆提及數位化保存的重要性。近年保存觀念不斷演進變化，加上科 技的發展，數位化保存的趨勢也顯示著各國對文化資產的重視，我國亦已將此 種觀念與實際作法引入臺灣。 文化部义化資產局充分理解到文化資產數位化保存的重要性，多年來致 力於文化資產基礎資料庫、又化資產學習資訊平台及建置有形文化資產導覧暨 管理系統等工作，同時持籍關注國際上文化資產數位化保存的趨勢，並朝向建 立完善的「國家文化資産資料庫」而努力。這份出版品為本局文化資產數位典 藏資源普查的階段性成果，基本上呈現了近十年來緡灣文化資產數位化的進程 與績效。 感謝科技部（原國家科學委員會）、各縣市文化主管機關、文化資產相 關研究單位及先進，積極配合參與本局文化資產數位典藏資源普查工作，並慷 慨提供分享研究成果。編印《臺灣文化資産數位資源簡介》，除了荣整珞灣數 位典藏資源案例，提供讀者瞭解解又化資産數位化資源外，更希望得到各界參 與支持，朝向共同的保存文化資產目標而努力。 文化部文化資產局長 施國隆 103年6月 Preface As we enter the 21st century, it has become essential to use cutting edge technology to record the traces left by humanity's journey. Integrating digital technology with the preservation of cultural heritage is an important international trend whose importance has been recognized by several inteniational charters and conventions. In recent years, cultural preservation concepts have been constantly evolving along with technological developments. The trend towards digital preservation shows how seriously cultural heritage is viewed in other countries, so we have taken steps to introduce these ideas and practical techniques into Taiwan as well. The Bureau of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture fully understands the importance of digital preservation of our cultural heritage. Over the past several years, much effort has been devoted to the establishment of a database of our cultural heritage, a learning information platform and a combination online guided toiir and management system fbr our tangible cultural heritage. While continuing to observe trends in the digital preservation of cultural heritage, our efTorts have been directed towards the establishment of a sound National Cultural Heritage Database. This publication, which is based on a preliminary survey, is intended as a milestone showing the results we have achieved over the past decade. I would like to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Science and Technology (formerly the National Science Council), county and city cultural authorities, research units and experts in cultural preservation for their active cooperation with the digital archives resources survey and for their generosity in sharing research results. The reason for compiling this Introduction to Digital Cultural Heritage Resources in Taiwan is not only to provide an overview of completed projects fbr readers wishing to gain an understanding of the resources available fbr the digital preservation of cultural heritage resources. More importantly, it is hoped that this overview will generate support and encourage participation by all interested parties as vve work towards the common goal of conserving our cultural heritage.
