書籍介紹
本書是由臺灣國家科學委員會、中央研究院與法國國家科學研究中心（CNRS）、發展研究所（IRD）合作所產出的研究成果。書中的研究團隊以地理學者、社會學者、人類學者等領域組成，以交叉引用臺灣與法國視角的方式來研究、比較全球化的亞洲城市，其範圍擴展至東南亞。
書中探討的主題有：(1)文化復甦計畫；(2)二級城市的動態改變；(3)城市重建與土地問題；(4)新的都市規章／社團生活／城市活動空間。
