"Sweet potato weevils are small insects that love sweet potatoes but can ruin crops. They lay their eggs in sweet potato skins. After the eggs hatch into larvae,
they feed on a lot of sweet potato pieces and make the sweet potatoes turn black,
thicken, and emit a special smell commonly referred to as "stinky fragrance," explained the doctor.
