本書為北美館《未竟之役：現代主義、太空、家屋》特展展覽專書，內容環繞著展覽三個獨特而相互交織的題旨來鋪陳，分別是：「太空競賽後的宇宙技術」、「寰宇家務」、「自由世界的美學網絡」，通過還原爬梳展場參觀動線及作品面貌，詳實呈現了展覽如何以全球冷戰為背景，在太空競賽與美援計劃所驅動之亞洲藝術、工藝與設計三者之交織下，形構出戰後台灣現代藝術的發展，以及當代藝術家們如何回應這段複雜深邃的歷史。從家居物件至美術館典藏品，本書為展覽記錄下藝術中所謂「未竟」之遺緒，它們是冷戰時期藝術、設計與科技的交匯，亦持續定義我們對於美好生活及地球家園的想像。

編／著／譯者簡介
Kathleen DITZIG is a Singaporean researcher and curator. Her research focuses on exhibition histories of Southeast Asia and unpacks the enduring legacies and networks of the Cold War in cultural production. She also researches Southeast Asian Contemporary Art practices in relation to a global history of capitalism. She is currently pursuing her PhD at NTU ADM, supervised by Ute Meta Bauer and Patrick Flores. As of Febuary 2022,she is a curator at National Gallery Singapore.
陳麗瑩是一位新加坡策展人及研究者，她的研究聚焦在東南亞展覽史，並拓展對於冷戰在文化生產及當代地理政治中的長期遺緒及網絡，同時也探究東南亞當代藝術實踐與資本主義全球歷史的關聯。她目前正在南洋理工大學攻讀博士學位，其論文指導教授為烏特‧梅塔‧鮑爾和派翠克．弗洛斯。自2022年二月起任職新加坡國家藝廊策展人。
HSU Fang-Tze is a lecturer at the Communications and New Media Department, National University of Singapore (NUS). She is a coordinator of the M.A. in Arts and Cultural Entrepreneurship programme. Her research interests include the formation of audiovisual modernity in Asia, Cold War aesthetics, philosophies of sonic technology, and the embodiment of artistic praxis in everyday life. Apart from her academic work, she has also been a curator and has worked with many artists and institutions in the last decade.
許芳慈現為新加坡國立大學傳播與新媒體學系講師，同時也統籌文化藝術創新創業管理碩士課程的成立和課綱發展。其研究興趣包括聲影現代性的形成、冷戰美學、聲音科技哲學和日常生活中藝術實踐之體現等。 許芳慈除從事學術研究工作外，也是一名策展人，並在過去十年間曾與諸多藝術家和機構合作。
