本書是任職於阿里山林鐵及文資處的吳明翰，以有溫度的鏡頭，和田野累積的點點滴滴，書寫阿里山林鐵和周遭山林、聚落、生態與社區的對話。

Wu Ming-Han
Wu Ming-Han earned his master’s degree in education from the National Chi-Nan University and was previously an English teacher at a high school. He has a strong interest in hiking,reading and photography, particularly attentive to life and culture.By coincidence, Ming-Han entered and started working at the Alishan Forest Railway in 2018. He contributed as a station attendant and English administrative specialist. Later, he served at the Marine National Park Headquarters and authored Ranger Diaries/ Work and Life in South Penghu Marine National Park. Ming-Han returned to the Alishan Forest Railway and served as a management specialist. He is responsible for international co-operation with sister railways. He expects to showcase the Alishan Forest Railway's changes and beauties to all travellers.
